Sat June 1st (Tiga)

I got a bunch of new goodies to share including some early work of Italio-Boogie group Change and an amazing ‘progressive-funk’ album from Kiddo, a group formed by Donnie Sterling and Michael Hampton after the Parliament-Funkadelic breakup of 1981. Photo Hanging: July 7th at Tiga

Hello Friends,

Please join me this coming Saturday evening, July 7th, at Tiga (1465 NE Prescott) for a showing of select prints from two series I recently completed: a collection of portraits of people dear to me plus an assortment of diptychs. This work is the start of research I have been conducting for a larger film project I will be shooting next summer which studies how we relate to the spaces we work and live in. Be forewarned, I probably still reek of fixer from all the hours spent in the lab the past several months…

DJ de la Rose (Guy Sands) and myself (DJ Dad Jeans) will be spinning the very finest blue-eyed soul, 80s R&B, AM Gold as well as a healthy side of early electronic and underground disco for your art-gazing. The theme for the evening’s festivities will be to keep it SMOOTH.
